tbh they're not wrong. some i-fans believe that idols have a type, which is usually beautiful, rich and skinny asian women
if any idol (especially male idol) shows interest or speaks about any other type, they're usually praised for it. i think you need to take into account that lots of kpop fans have really low self esteem, so they see a lot of people as either competition or people they can mock to make themselves feel better
it's obv not all of them, but a chunk is more than enough when they're as feral as the ones i've seen
